Celebrities in a Pencil Skirt and High Heels

There is nothing more flattering than a pencil skirt when a women wants to dress casual or for business. The pencil skirt hugs a woman's curves and really accentuates their natural femininity. There are also many colors but basic black continues to be among the favorites and well worn through each season..

There are many celebrities that are known for wearing pencil skirts. When a celebrity wants to be seen by the photographers but do not want to appear too dressed up, it is always convenient to slide on a pencil skirt to run errands an still look fashionable yet comfortable.Some of my favorite celebrities in a pencil skirt include Jennifer Aniston, Renee Zellweger, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel among others. These women, for the most part, all have slim bodies and are extremely fit.

Pencil skirts are tight fitting around the hips and slim down to the legs. Some are short while others can be long. Longer skirts can be quite difficult to walk in if there are no sits up the back or sides. High-waisted pencil skirts are popular particular for women wanting to show off their long legs.

Shoes worn with a pencil skirt are varied. If the skirt is black then high heels typically look better with it. If the pencil skirt is denim or even a khaki then the opportunity to wear flats or high heels presents itself. Boots, either high or low, really do not look that great with a pencil skirt unless the skirt is leather. It really depends on the style and color of the skirt like most other fashion choices.

Pencil skirts and high heels simply go together. Sure you can wear a flat or a lower heel, but a slim and tight fitting skirt simply begs for a gorgeous high heel to be worn. Strappy gladiator high heel booties always look amazing with a pencil skirt though a nice 4-inch or more pump looks just as nice. Suede high heels are popular in the fall and winter and always look fantastic with a pencil skirt.

Of course the tighter the pencil skirt the more difficult it can make walking in high heels. For instance, Marilyn Monroe is famous for her wiggle. Much of that movement could be traced to her penchant for tight pencil skirts that tapered down the legs as well as her high heels. It can't help but change the way a woman walks.

These days the higher the heel the more popular. Platforms are popular as it allows one to wear a taller heel without having to be perched up on the toes. A 5" heel is a popular option with most but fetish stilettos having a 1-2" platform to support the foot. This in effect creates a 3-4" heel for your foot. Thus making it easier to walk in them and of course easier for a tight pencil skirt.
